Doctoral Studies

Education is closely linked to our research activities in the field of infrared technologies. We participate in the realisation of university doctoral study programs and closely cooperate with doctoral students and supervisors.

For students

    – Choose our topic for your dissertation.
  • Do you need to use our equipment to solve your dissertation?
    – We can include your task in our ongoing research or we will teach you to work independently with the equipment.
  • Are you conducting research related to thermal processes or optical-thermal properties of materials? Are you looking for a workplace for a several-month internship?
    – We will be happy to welcome you in our team and laboratories.

  • Are you considering a new interdisciplinary topic that could use infrared technology? Does your ongoing research or dissertation solution require the use of infrared technology?
  • Are you looking for an opponent for a completed dissertation that relates to thermal processes or optical-thermal properties of materials?

    Our solution

    Our team uses infrared technology in the form of heat sources and measuring systems for the analysis of processes and materials. We are engaged in the research and development of equipment for technological and material research, solving technical and non-technical applications.

    Students can choose from two doctoral study programs at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, where we work as supervisors.

    • Applied sciences and informatics – Plasma physics and thin film (FAV – KFY) 
    • Engineering materials and technology (FST)
